# Bilingual circular patch studies

Two proposed refinements of the emblem patch, retaining the English and Japanese academy names within the circle.

- **M1** - English follows the left arc; upright Japanese characters follow the right arc.
- **M2** - Same English arc; Japanese remains in a straight vertical column inside the right edge.

Both retain the full English **STAND THE FIGHT** and working phonetic Japanese **スタンド・ザ・ファイト**. THE is slightly smaller than STAND and FIGHT. English uses the outlined Anton wordmark basis; Japanese is outlined Noto Sans JP Semibold 600 for stronger stitching contours.

## Files

Start with **bilingual-patch-comparison.png** or its PDF. Each variant has colour and black-only versions in outlined SVG, vector PDF and PNG. The PDF is actual size at the named **75 mm or 90 mm finished diameter**; the outer border reaches that diameter. The natural background represents fabric ground.

The larger size gives the Japanese lettering and spacing more physical room. Central figure gaps are opened slightly further than the original patch to clear 1 mm between independent shapes even at 75 mm. Text-to-figure and text-to-border distances are recorded in spacing-review.json.

These are vector design studies, not machine stitch files. Have the embroidery supplier digitise and sew a sample to judge the Japanese characters and thread choice. The wider negative spaces and heavier Japanese glyphs support that process; geometric checks do not validate the resulting stitches.

All lettering is outlined; no fonts are required to open or print the supplied designs. Source: brand-kit/source/round_patch.py in the main working kit. The original full-kit v1 ZIP remains the previous review snapshot; this study has its own addendum ZIP.
