# Stand The Fight - brand kit 1.2

Refined from the selected L2 direction. This is a complete first review kit, with editable production artwork and application templates.

Start with **index.html** for the complete 13-page guide in the browser, followed by a searchable, categorised asset library. It shares the PDF's layout source and uses selectable guide text. Fonts are embedded so the guide works offline. **guide/stand-the-fight-brand-guide-v1.pdf** is the matching PDF edition; v1 in its filename denotes the major version.

The circular patch has been refined from M1 into **N1** in patches/balanced-circular/: English and Japanese now cover the same angular span. The colour version pairs STF red Japanese lettering with the red head; an ink-lettered alternative is also included. The guide includes both rectangular and circular garment mockups and shows this latest artwork; earlier studies remain available in the asset library for comparison.

## What is included

- **logos/** - Primary bilingual logo, full English logo, compact name logo, standalone throw emblem and wordmark. Each comes in colour, black, white and reverse, in SVG, vector PDF and transparent PNG.
- **social/** - Light and dark avatars, plus editable square (1080 x 1080), portrait (1080 x 1350) and story (1080 x 1920) SVG templates. PDF/PNG previews accompany them.
- **web/** - 1600 x 600 banner, SVG icon, PNG icon sizes, ICO favicon and CSS/JSON brand tokens. Dimensions are practical working canvases, not guarantees of current platform crop areas.
- **print/** - Blank A4 letterhead, editable A3 poster, 85 x 55 mm card front/back and CMYK logo PDFs. Poster and card CMYK PDFs include 3 mm bleed and TrimBox/BleedBox metadata.
- **patches/** - 100 x 85 mm name patch and 75 mm emblem patch, both in colour and mono, with larger gaps between shapes. Includes 260 mm shirt artwork.
- **fonts/** - Original, unmodified Anton, Epilogue and Noto Sans JP files, their OFL licences and source/hash manifest.
- **source/** - Reproducible vector construction, selected L2 reference and scripts.
- **previews/** - Website context study and rendered guide pages for visual review.

The embroidered-patch photographs in previews/ are illustrative mockups generated with the built-in image generation tool using the patch artwork as its reference. They are not physical sew-outs or exact production simulations. Their prompts are retained in source/patch-mockup-prompt.txt and source/circular-patch-mockup-prompt.txt. Use the vector artwork as the production reference.

## Choosing a file

Use **SVG** for websites, designers and scalable artwork. Logo lettering is outlined, so it cannot silently change if a font is absent. All overlap gaps are transparent geometry, not white patches.

Use **transparent PNG** in software that needs a bitmap. White and reverse logos may appear blank on a white viewer; place them on a dark background. The PNGs have generous margins rather than artwork touching the canvas edge.

Use **PDF** for vector print handoff. Logo PDFs in logos/ are RGB scalable masters. The explicitly named CMYK files in print/ use K100 black and a mathematical process conversion of the red. They are not ICC-profiled, spot-colour or PDF/X-certified files. Have the printer proof the red against the intended stock and apply their production profile.

## Editing templates

SVG files named **template** contain labelled live text fields: class title, date/time, venue and contact details. Those labels are placeholders, not public class information. Install the supplied fonts and open the SVG in a vector editor. Edit a copy, check fit, and export the finished PDF or PNG. The supplied PDF/PNG versions are outlined previews of the initial fields.

The live fields use `data-editable` attributes for programmatic editing. Their linked fonts are relative to ../fonts; some SVG viewers do not load external fonts. The outlined PDF/PNG preview is the visual reference. Rebuilding the kit resets the templates to their original labelled fields; preserve edited copies separately.

## Patches and clothing

An additional circular-patch study is in **patches/bilingual-studies/**. M1 curves the English and Japanese names inside the circle; M2 pairs the English arc with a straight Japanese column. Colour and mono SVG/PDF/PNG artwork is supplied at 75 mm and 90 mm finished diameters. These are proposals for review, alongside the initial kit's simpler patch. See that folder's README for details.

Patch PDFs are actual-size artwork: 100 x 85 mm or 75 mm diameter. The light paper-colour area represents the intended natural fabric ground. Colour versions use black and red thread; mono versions use black. A merrow/border guide is included.

These are **artwork, not digitised stitch files**. A supplier should select thread, backing and stitch construction, digitise the vector design and produce a physical sew-out. Use the open-gap patch file, not the full bilingual logo. Confirm the sample before a batch. The shirt file is a transparent 260 x 260 mm artwork canvas containing the English logo.

## Wording

- Academy: **Stand The Fight**.
- English descriptor: **Traditional Japanese Jiu-Jitsu**, as supplied for the academy.
- Working phonetic Japanese name: **スタンド・ザ・ファイト**.

The Japanese is a phonetic rendering of the English academy name, not an existing registered Japanese name or a translated motto. It is typeset from Noto Sans JP, preserving the small kana, voiced marks and centred punctuation. The kit makes no additional lineage, accreditation or affiliation claim.

## Rebuilding

Built using Python 3.13. Create an isolated environment, install `source/requirements.txt`, then run `python source/build.py` from this folder. The original downloaded fonts are already included; network access is not needed to build. `download_fonts.py` is only for refreshing them and their original licences. Rebuild overwrites generated files, so retain customised application templates separately.

The silhouette was vectorised from the approved L2, with exact circular heads, fixed outline typography and a transparent Boolean cut where the figure overlaps S. The reference is retained in source/reference-l2.png for comparison. Source/master SVGs remain separate from exported colour variants.

## Fonts and sources

The unmodified font files were downloaded from the official Google Fonts repository:

- https://github.com/google/fonts/tree/main/ofl/epilogue
- https://github.com/google/fonts/tree/main/ofl/notosansjp

Each family includes its own Open Font Licence. Font source URLs and SHA-256 checksums are recorded in fonts/sources.json. The full Japanese name is a working design rendering and should be reviewed as part of the identity sign-off.
